Impacts of Local Transit Systems on Vulnerable Populations in Michigan

Residents in small urban and rural areas frequently depend on unreliable personal transportation to maintain their lifestyle get essential destinations within society. Especially, vulnerable populations, such as seniors low-income residents, have lower access vehicles therefore are mobility-challenged. Being challenged terms of mobility has effects the health population concerned this constraint not only limits economic activity that leads perpetuation means poverty but also social physical mental isolation. In a study Michigan public nonprofit transit systems, customer satisfaction, particularly with services is analyzed through on-board intercept surveys. Results illustrate significance employment, age, income, disability, demand-response planning ultimately health.
